Communication Arts Email Phone: 262 376-5577 Brian Durst has enjoyed sharing experiences and creating memories with students and colleagues at Grafton High School since 2000. Prior to returning to his hometown, Brian taught and coached at Palmyra-Eagle High School for three years and at Westosha Central High School for one year. He earned a Bachelor of Secondary English Education with a coaching minor from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master's of Education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Brian's leadership roles at Grafton High School include: Communication Arts instructor and department chair, varsity baseball coach, and Teaching and Learning Committee representative. Learners in Mr. Durst's literature and composition courses can expect to be empowered to co-design paths, create original outcomes, and celebrate growth. He and his students learn with a purpose by asking, "What if? Why not? and So what?" to guide innovation.
