Social Studies Email Phone: 262 376-5837 I love history and I love teaching! History tells us SO MUCH about ourselves, why we do the things we do, and we can even predict our future by learning about things that happened in the past.
Growing up in North Dakota, I played basketball, played trumpet in the concert, jazz and marching bands in high school and was on the student council until I left high school to work for the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. during my junior year. After high school, I graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee and began a career in business in Chicago for six years. I always wanted to be a teacher, so I decided to pursue my dreams. I got my Master's degree in Humanities at the University of Queensland in Australia, backpacked through Southeast Asia to get back home, and began teaching in 2005. I have taught for 15 years, both full-time and part-time at high school and middle school levels in Franklin, Cedarburg, Mequon-Thiensville and Germantown. I am excited to be a part of JLMS teaching 6th grade World Cultures and 7th grade Ancient Civilizations. I live in Grafton with my husband and two high school aged children Jack and Lindy and cute fluffy dog, Champ.
