Hello!  I am happy to be teaching 6th grade ELA!  In 2020-21, I served as Mrs. Ingrassia’s long-term sub for 7th grade ELA and really enjoyed getting to know the students and families of John Long.  I also taught middle and high school English for a maternity leave in Northern Ozaukee School District.  Prior to that, I worked in special education at Thorson Elementary in Cedarburg for four years.  I am a 1991 graduate of Illinois State University with a teaching certification from Roosevelt University in Schaumburg, Illinois.  Fresh out of college, I worked as an advertising writer for six years before returning to school for my certification to teach 6th and 7th grade ELA at Stanton School in Fox Lake, Illinois.  I have lived in Cedarburg since 2010 with my husband, our three children, and two cats.  In my free time, I love to read and, in warm weather, be outside as much as possible with friends and family going walking, camping, to community events, and to our cottage up north in the U.P.  I look forward to sharing a successful, engaging year with my students!  Go, Falcons!
