English Language Arts Email Phone: 262 376-5853 I am excited to get to know all of my students and share my love for reading and writing with them! I have been teaching 8th grade ELA at John Long since 2014. I also co-advise both Student Council and Battle of the Books. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and a certificate in European Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Early Adolescence - Adolescence teaching certification in English from Cardinal Stritch University. Additionally, I have a Master of Science in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University. Prior coming to JLMS, I taught 7th-grade reading and writing workshop at Kettle Moraine Middle School in Dousman, WI. Before that, I was a long-term 8th grade ELA substitute at Park View Middle School in Mukwonago and a student teacher at both Waterford Union High School and Wisconsin Hills Middle School. Besides spending time with family and friends, I enjoy reading, baking, hiking, trying new restaurants in the Milwaukee area and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams. I also love to travel and am always looking for new places to add to my list!
