I have worked as a special education teacher at John Long Middle School since 1985. I am responsible for instructing and supporting special education students in the general education setting. My personal philosophy involves educating the whole child and fostering personal, social, and academic student success. Establishing positive rapport, providing opportunities for reflection, problem solving and goal setting all lead students to grow as learners and agents of change. My passions and responsibilities go beyond the classroom setting. I have been coaching cross country and track and field for 17 years and immensely enjoy working with student athletes.  Leoś Club is a new school club that will be implemented this school year at John Long Middle School and I have taken on the role of advisor.  Leoś Club will collaborate with the high school club and focus on community service.
